Our Principal Victoria Paris Named a 2010 Rising Star by Lexpert
Toronto (November 25, 2010) Kim Orr Barristers congratulates our principal, Victoria Paris for being recognized as one of Lexpert's 2010 Rising Stars, Leading Lawyers Under 40. Victoria is a highly skilled litigator and one of the founders of our firm.
Victoria's practice includes the prosecution and defence of class actions, complex commercial litigation and regulatory proceedings and represents both plaintiffs and defendants in securities, insurance, pensions and product liability class actions. She has acted as counsel to multinational public companies in litigation in Canada, the United States and Greece. Victoria is the national coordinator for the plaintiff counsel on two significant pharmaceutical class actions in Canada, and acts as liaison counsel with the lead American counsel for the Multi-District Litigation in both matters.
Victoria teaches Corporate Governance at Queen's University Faculty of Law.
Victoria is a member of the Board of Directors of The Stop Community Food Centre, a non-profit organization that provides programs and advocacy to support people with their food and social needs.
